Killing time at starbucks

I took Jevin to school this morning and while waiting for his awards thing we had about half hour to spare so we went and got some goodies at Starbucks (thanks again Levi and Kelsey for the gift card! Smooch!)  I chose fruit and Daphne chose cookies of course.  When she saw grapes were in my bowl she decided to steal them all.  The bucket of fruit is kind of weird because the grapefruit overtakes all the other fruit.  So the grapes taste like grapefruit, the pineapple tastes like grapefruit…they should just sell a bowl of grapefruit and save themselves some packaging time. LOL Daph was not thrilled with “grapefruit grapes” so she proceeded to spit them all over the table.  She ended up happy with her cookie choice.  LOL

Go Jevin!

Today Jevin got the science award at school.  His teacher was praising him for his “very inquisitive mind.”  My husband and I were laughing about that because sometimes the question after question after question is enough to make you crazy.  I find myself saying  ”I dont know, Jevin” like 14 times a day.

 The video game boy (see, he’s totally fine with getting his picture taken IF it can be where and when he deems fit. LOL )  Oh and SOMEONE taught him to notice that there is a “hot chick” (his words, not mine!) on the video game.  Every time he gets to that part he comes and shows me “I got to the hot chick!” and laughs hysterically because he I tell him “you are FIVE!  You arent supposed to talk like that!” 

Apparently we like to jump on the bed.  Oh and we like polka dots.  LOL  We detest that bed skirt though…..hideousness at it’s finest.  LOL (Hint, hint….Jon…read this…build us a bed…if you dont…I’ll have to hit up Ikea!) And please remember….it has been cold here…..hence the pasty white legs. HAHA

Monday, monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Back to the grind.  Jevin had last week off of school for presidents’ week and it was fun not to have to rush around for school! LOL He went back today so Daph and I had some time to just chill.  You know, all the normal stuff….jump on the bed, paint our toes, and play monster.  LOL

and one of us playing jump on the bed…..yeah, it’s hard to click and stay in focus while jumping.  Oh and pretend to not see the pile of clothes on the counter in the bathroom.  That’s my “nothing will fit and I am so annoyed” pile.  HA!

Chillin’ with the fam

We went up to Oak Glen again today.  Needed some more apples so we got an eight pound bag (made apple crisp for dessert tonight and still have a ton left over! LOL)  As soon as we got there we got some nice rain.  Lovely.  (That’s sarcasm…I really am not a fan of falling droplets onto my camera! LOL) The kids picked out some candy and we got some more apple butter.  We put that on our crepes or pancakes for breakfast (or Trader Joes organic raspberry all fruit spread…..that stuff is SOOO yummy and you cant beat $2.29!)  Anyhow….the only pic I got on the actual mountain (is that a mountain?  I’m guessing so, there was snow up there!) was a driving one.  A picture of my favorite weather (ha!) After we stocked up on apples we headed back down….and NO RAIN!  So of course I had to hit the traintracks! Boudoir marathon session sign ups!

 

These sessions are SOOOO much fun!  Grab a girlfriend and come and have a blast! Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, an hour of playing dress up in a sweet hotel.  Ooh and let’s not forget the beautiful pictures of you that you get to keep forever.  These boudoir sessions include an album (which makes a great surprise gift for your spouse!)  Ooh la la indeed! New hair

Sort of…I’m not all that daring at the salon but I got 2 colors this time and about 3-4 inches cut off.  Thanks Jessie (at JCP in Temecula).Yeah and I can only reach out so far with the camera….ahahahahaha….so yes, I realize I am sort of cut off. HAHA  

Need to drop 10…

…..pounds that is.  What better motivation than to post it publicly!  LOL Goal for this week is to do 10 miles on the treadmill and lay low on the wine. LOL I havent had any for a week now!  Woot, go me!  Granted I am grouchier and not nearly as fun but hey, I wont be as fun when I have to try on a gazillion pairs of pants to find one pair that fits either!  HAHA So here we go….next Monday night, I better have lost at least a pound!  

A visit to Opa and Oma’s

Went to San Clemente today with the kiddos to visit Opa and Oma.  Had fun playing Candy Land and we all went to Dana Point for some fish and chips and the kids got ice creams from Opa (forgot my camera in the car for that one!)  A couple of pics from our day: Smelling Oma’s flowers (after she just picked some lemons off the their tree)  Jevin being goofy (he’d has a cold and licks his lips..hence it looking like he has on hot pink lipstick on!    Daphne watching thomas on the computer and thinking it’s hillarious: Looking at Oma and laughing more because Oma was laughing too: even more laughing :  Jevin and Oma playing Candy Land (and no, he is not reaching for a beer!
